Fisheries Foundation Union Manipur lauds Cabinet's decision

The Fisheries Foundation Union, Manipur has lauded the State Cabinet's decision to rename Revenue Department as Resource Department.
Chairman of Fisheries Foundation Union Manipur, M Tombi while speaking to media persons during a press meet today said that the Government has assured that it will soon take up measures to actualise the request made by the foundation to utilise open unused places in valley area for fish farming to enhance the State's resource.
He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving assurance to utilise the open spaces for fish farming so that the State becomes self reliant in terms of fish production and to save the State's money in the long run.
The union also appreciated the Chief Minister's statement that Rs 39 crores will be released soon out of Rs 129 crore sanctioned by NCDC for the fish farmers in the State, he added and expressed belief that the pending amount will also be released at the earliest.
M Tombi also maintained that the union will extend best possible support and cooperation in all the developmental works which will be taken up by the Government.
