Pangolin rescued

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : The People for Animals (PFA), Manipur and Forest Depart-ment rescued one Chinese Pangolin.
A press release issued by PFA said that the pangolin was bought by one Keisam Netrajit from a group of hunters at Kwatha Khunou.
Saying that he brought the pangolin to his native village at Khundrakpam Awang Leikai,  the statement added that the wild animal escaped from his custody in the evening. It then said that PFA and the Forest Department rescued the wild animal after its location was uploaded on Facebook today.  The animal is currently in the shelter of PFA.
The rescued pangolin is about 20 inches long and about 5 weeks old.
Chinese pangolin is listed in the IUCN red list as a critically endangered animal.
