AITUC, Manipur urges for honorarium hike for Mid-day meal workers

The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Manipur State Committee has lauded the State Cabinet for approving the honorarium and incentives hike of Anganwadi workers, helpers, mini helpers and ASHA workers acknowledging the services rendered by them.
The AITUC, Manipur in a press release welcomed the decision of the State Government and said that it will motivate the Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers to work earnestly in the interest of the public.
However AITUC expressed discontent that the demands of the Mid-day Meal workers have not been considered by the State Cabinet. Therefore, considering the services rendered by the Mid day Meal workers and to address their plights, the All India Trade Union Congress has appealed to the State Government to increase the honorarium of the Mid-day Meal workers in the larger interest of the students.
