AMSU urges

IMPHAL, Nov 22
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has resolved to work together with different transport associations/unions/society in urging the Government to revise the current rate of passenger fare, freight and hiring charges of motor vehicles.
The resolution was taken at the one day open public discussion on 'Transport fare hike and Grievances of transporters' organised by AMSU today at its multipurpose hall in AMSU HQ.
Resolution to appeal the Government to ensure effective implementation of incentive schemes for Private School Transporters and continuing with the 50% concession for students in uniform and identity cards of school/college/university were also taken. AMSU also urged the Government to frame a new transport policy by taking into account the rise in fuel price.
