Book released

IMPHAL, Nov 15: "Letter from the Republic of Dust, a book which is a collection of articles written by  Rajendra Keshtri was released today  at VC's Court Hall of Manipur University.
The book which is published under Mittal Publi- cation, New Delhi has two sections and 29 articles.
It is the 6th publication from the author. The other books being "The Emergence of Meetei Nationa- lism: A Study of Two Movements Among the Meetei", "District Councils in Manipur : Formation & Functioning", "Sociology: Perception and Conception", "Cry of a Dying River (An anthology of poems on Nambul River)" and "State, Civil Society and Social Movement in Northeast India".
The book release ceremony was graced by Vice Chancellor of Manipur University Prof N Lokendra  Singh, retd IAS Dr RK Nimai and HoD, Sociology, MU Prof Ksh Rajendra Singh.
At the ceremony, Prof N Lokendra stated that the book is a must read to understand the changing scenario and current situation of  Manipur while Dr RK Nimai hailed the author as "conscience keeper of modern Manipur" whose ideas cannot be summarised simply in a unidirectional manner.
