IMPHAL, Nov 9
The Rongmei Naga Council Manipur, Imphal Luangrian has expressed deep pain at the instances of systematic interference with the peaceful existence of villagers of Chingkham Kabui Khul despite the settlement of the land dispute in the Court of law. In a release, RNCM alleged that despite clear directives from National Commission for Scheduled Tribes to address the issue, the Government is yet to take up stringent action to avert further unwanted incidents in Chingkham Kabui village.
It also stated that contrary to the claims of the neighbouring villagers, the Court had accepted that Chingkham Kabui village was a patta land.
RNCM further appealed to all concerned to respect and honour the law of the nation and thus abide by the judgement of the Court and co-operate towards execution of the directives of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
