Governor lauds

IMPHAL, Nov 9 Governor La Ganesan has lauded the four eminent personalities from the State who were honoured with prestigious awards including Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri.
In a statement issued today, the Governor expressed happiness that four eminent personalities from various fields including MC Mary Kom (Boxing), Oinam Bembem (Football), Hanjabam Radhe Devi (Traditional Bridal Wear Designer) and Rewben Mashangva (Musical Tradition of Tangkhul Tribe) were awarded Padma awards yesterday by the President of India.
MC Mary Kom was honoured with Padma Vibhushan while Oinam Bembem, Hanjabam Radhe Devi and Rewben Mashangva were honoured with Padma Shri.
