Issues of Manipur discussed at length in JD(U) special meeting

Janata Dal (United) reaffirmed its stand to contest General Assembly Election 2022 to be held in five States including Manipur during a special meeting held on November 8 at Dibrugarh, Assam.
A press release issued by JD (U), Manipur State Unit stated that the meeting was attended by the National President, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, MP Lok Sabha and convenor of JD(U) North East Executive Council, NSN Lotha and president JD(U) Manipur State, Hangkhanpao Taithul.
During the meeting, the various demands of the people of Manipur regarding the numerous problems faced by the people and failures of the present BJP led Manipur Government such as unemployment problem, failure of smart city project, substandard road connectivity, insufficient and low quality healthcare facility, education system failure, centre sponsored schemes implementation failure etc were discussed in detail.
Further it stressed on the need to voice the demands of the people against the Government for the betterment of Manipur Society.
The release further informed that JD(U) National Secretary and Manipur State-in-charge, Ramprit Mandal, MP Lok Sabha will be visiting Manipur on November 13, 2021 to review the present political scenario in Manipur and the preparation/progress of JD(U) for the coming General Election 2022. Also it was resolved that by joining hands with the people of Manipur, a mega rally will be organized in Imphal in the second week of December 2021 to be attended by JD(U) National President, Rajiv Ranjan Singh, MP Lok Sabha and other JD(U) national leaders along with the people of Manipur, added the press release.
