Ningol Mela kicks off

IMPHAL, Oct 27: A ten day fair 'Ningol Mela' organised by the Craft's Development Promoter Organisation, Ningomthong Kitna Panung was inaugurated today at GM Hall.
Speaking as the chief guest, Manager, National Small Industries Corporation, State Office, L Ibetombi Devi said that the ten day fair has been organised in connection with the Ningol Chakkouba festival wherein handloom products of the State will be sold
She appealed to all to make the fair a success and to help in promoting the State's handloom products.
Chairman of Manipur Industries Development Council, P Loken said that the fair will provide a platform for the promotion of the products produced in the State. He also expressed the need to export such products to help in enhancing the socio-economic condition of the State.
The inaugural function was also attended by the State and National awardee Salam Arunapyari, former Adhyaksha Imphal East, M Babita Devi and former Director of DRDA, Yumnam Neta Singh.
