AMWJU, EGM mourn

IMPHAL, Oct 26 : The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has condoled the demise of Manihar Goswami who served as Editor of Chingtam Daily.
He was a founder member of AMWJU and a resident of Wangkhei Konsam Leikai.
AMWJU in a press release recalled Manihar Goswami as a dedicated journalist and a social and political activist who worked selflessly for the welfare of the journalist community in Manipur.
With his demise, the media fraternity of Manipur has lost an eminent journalist and will be an irreparable loss, added the press release.
AMWJU also shared the sorrow and grief of the bereaved family.
Editors Guild Manipur (EGM) also mourned the demise of Manihar Goswami.
EGM in a press release recounted Manihar Goswami as an active journalist who helped in shaping the way of one's way of thinking through his newspaper.
EGM also extended their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
He was 88 years old.
