Union MoS to visit Manipur today

IMPHAL, Oct 26 (PIB)
 Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare will be arriving tomorrow on a one day visit to Manipur.
During his visit, the Union Minister will attend a review meeting which is to be attended by the officials of the Department of Agriculture.
The Union Minister will attend the “Showcasing of Technology products and interface of scientist-farmers-FPOs-Agripreneurs” and would also inaugurate a fair which will showcase stalls of CAU, All India Coordinated Research Project, Department of Horticulture and MOMA, Agripreneur-FPOs and KVKs at the CAU, Iroisemba, Imphal.
MoS Sushri Shobha accompanied by CAU VC Dr Anupam Mishra and other officials would also be inspecting the central farm of CAU, Honey Processing Unit, Mushroom Unit and Biotech Laboratory. This will be followed by an interaction programme with farmers at the auditorium of the college.
Later, the Union Minister will inaugurate the programme 'Farmers Field Day cum Input Distribution' at ICAR Lamphelpat, Imphal
Later in the evening, the Minister would depart Imphal Airport from where she would proceed to Agartala by air.
