Certification programme for Returning Officers kicks off

IMPHAL, Oct 26 (DIPR)
A four day Certification Programme for Returning Officers (ROs) of Manipur was today inaugurated by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manipur Rajesh Agrawal at the Conference Hall of Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, Lamphelpat.
The training programme will be held from October 26-29, 2021 and will comprise of sixteen sessions to be conducted by National Level Master Trainers (NLMTs).
The certification programme is conducted by Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur, Lamphelpat.
Rajesh Agrawal stated that the training will help in smooth preparation and conduct of the upcoming election and advised the ROs to pay adequate attention.
On the first day resource persons Anil Salgotra, NLMT and Munir Vohra, NLMT conducted the sessions on Qualification, Disqualification, District Election Management Plan and Vulnerability Mapping.
The second day session will be conducted by KF Wilfred, Consultant, ECI and Munir Vohra, NLMT on Nomination Including Instructions on Criminal Antecedent, Scrutiny of Nomination, Withdrawal of Candidature and Allotment of Symbol and ETPBS.
The third and fourth day session will be conducted by Anil Salgotra, NLMT, Riaz Bhatt, NLMT and Pramod Sahoo, NLMT on Expenditure Monitoring, Model Code of Conduct, Postal Ballot, Polling Party and Poll Day Arrangement, EVM – VVPAT Administrative, EVM – VVPAT Hands On, Paid News and MCMC and Counting.
The programme was also attended by Additional CEO, Manipur, Naorem Praveen Singh, Joint CEO, Manipur, Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Joint CEO (II), Manipur, Md S Daulat Khan, Returning Officers and staff of CEO, Office, Manipur and National Level Master Trainers (NLMTs).
