Ceasework strike

IMPHAL, Oct 21 : ANM and Female Health Workers of Family Welfare Service have started a cease work strike against non-payment of salary for the last 4 months.
Routine immunization at the Family Welfare Services office at BT road was affected by the strike which was launched under the banner of All Manipur Family Welfare Service Association (AMFWSA) from 11 am today.
N Meena Devi, treasurer AMFWSA, said all ANM and FHW engaged at various Covid Care Centres, vaccination centres have stopped their service demanding payment of salary which had been withheld since the last 4 months.
The association had given yesterday as deadline for payment of salary, but the Government had not paid any heed  to the demands, she claimed.
She also added that the association has also submitted a memorandum to the Government regarding their demands.
