United Committee Manipur condemns

IMPHAL, Oct 13
The United Committee Manipur (UCM) has condemned the indiscriminate firing during a funeral service at B Gamnom village yesterday killing at least 3 individuals and seriously injuring a two year old.
In a statement issued today, UCM appealed to the Government to arrest the gunmen involved in the firing incident and work towards ensuring return of normalcy in the village.
Meanwhile, a team of UCM has rushed to the village and met the families of the victims and shared their grief. The team also distributed relief materials to villagers who have fled the village following the incident. A relief camp has also been opened at the residence of UCM Human Right and Legal Affairs secretary, added the statement.
