Legal awareness programme held

IMPHAL, Oct 12
An online one day legal awareness programme on the topic, 'Drug use among sex workers and measures for rehabilitation' was held via JITSI meet application today.
The awareness programme has been conducted as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and jointly organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East and Nirvana Foundation Legal Aid Clinic in collaboration with Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), said a press release by DLSA, Imphal East.
The programme was attended by RK Memcha, MJS, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East, N Lanleima MJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East, K Nirojit MJS, Civil Judge Senior Division, Imphal East.
K Nirojit spoke as a resource persons on the topic of the webinar.
Later an interactive session was also held between the dignitaries, resource persons and participants, added the release.
