66th ABVP meet
Imphal, Jan 4: The 66th annual National conference of ABVP was held at Nagpur from December 25 to December 26 and four resolutions were adopted at the conference.
Speaking to media persons at their Wangkhei Keithel Ahanbi office today, Umesh Tensubam, State Secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) said that the first day of the conference was chaired by Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, Joint Secretary, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the second day of the conference by Nitin Gad-kari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways.
Prof Chhaganbhai Patel and Sushri Nidhi Tripathi were selected as National president and National General Secretary of ABVP at the conference.
Umesh Tensubam added that the resolutions taken at the conference were early implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.
Self-reliance being the key to unlock India’s prosperity, the conference took due note of the contemporary National scenario as well as India’s unique approach and way of life to deal with the pandemic induced challenges.
He added that the annual Prof Yashwantrao Kelkar Youth Award was presented to co-founder of Back 2 Village, Manish Kumar from Bihar.
