Statehood greetings

IMPHAL, Jan 20: Governor Dr Najma Heptulla greeted and extended her best wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Statehood Day.
In her message, she said, 'This is an occasion for all of us to introspect on our achievements during the last 49 years. Let us all unite to take Manipur to greater heights of progress and prosperity. Focus should be on every sector to have the desired impact on addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of the State'.
The Governor further wished for peace and prosperity to all and prayed that the State would achieve all round development for a better tomorrow.
Works Minister Thongam Biswajit also greeted and wished the people on the occasion and said that after attaining Statehood, Manipur has made rapid strides advancing towards development in every aspect keeping pace with the rest of the country.
He also called for unity and commitment from all to work together to bring peace and prosperity in the State.
