'Naga peace agreement should not impinge on Manipur territory'

IMPHAL, Sep 7: Inking of a peace agreement between the Government and stakeholders of Nagaland should not impinge on Manipur territorial integrity, said Dr Soraisam Manaoton, secretary (media) of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee.
Speaking to media persons while distributing edibles to people residing in areas of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa which was declared as containment zones on Sunday, Dr Manaoton said that signing of Naga peace agreement should not invite agitations from the State.
As per Government, Naga peace agreement is likely to be signed anytime soon, he said, urging the Government to consider the sentiments of all stakeholders in the region to avoid any untoward incidents.
Dr Manaoton distributed edibles to over 150 households in the AC.
