AMMOCOC demands

IMPHAL, Sep 4: All Manipur Muslim Organisations’ Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) today said that the police unable to arrest all the culprits involved in Mayang-Imphal incident shows the lack of seriousness on the part of State Government.
Speaking to media persons at its office at Hatta in Imphal East, president of AMMOCOC Anwari Noorjahan said a suspect has already been arrested after he surrendered to the police.
“The police could have easily arrested the others from his revelation. It shouldn’t be a hard thing to do,” she said.
“And also above all, police had taken the statement of the victim when she was alive at RIMS ICU,” she said.  
The AMMOCOC leader demanded the Government to arrest and punish the culprits at the earliest.
