20th Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day observed

The Nongchup Imphal Palem Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL) observed 20th Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day at  Uripok Khumanthem Leikai Meira Sanglen, today.
A press release issued by NIMPAL said that the programme organised to commemorate the massive rally taken out by the people of Manipur on September 28, 2000, was attended by Ima Th Ibeyaima, president NIMPAL, MC Rita president Leimacol as resource persons.
The rally was organised by Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and  National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO).
At the event, MC Rita said that collective effort from communities residing in the State is required to combat the many challenges that are besieging the State, today.
The National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO), in a statement, has stated the 20th Manipur Integrity and Solidarity Day was also observed at Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Bishnupur.
The main function held at the conference hall of NIPCO's office at Keishampat was attended by L Nganbi Leima, chairman, observation committee; Th Manihar, working chairman, observation committee; Sunil Karam, president UCM and RK Bobychand as presidium members.
At the event, RK Bobychand and special invitee, Babloo Loitongbam spoke about the Naga peace talks that are going on between the NSCN-IM and the Indian Government.
Meanwhile, the 20th Manipuri Integrity & Solidarity Day was also observed at the conference hall of  Thoubal District United Women Development Organisation (Thoubal Ima) at Tentha Khongbal organised by Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO).
Laining Sanamahi Thougal Kanglup Oja Kartit Maiba, Thoubal District United Development Organisation (Thoubal Ima) Secretary M Sanatombi Devi, retired RO L Samo and Ningthou Naoria attended the function as chief guest, president, guest of honour and resource person respectively.
