RPF celebrates PLA raising day

IMPHAL, Sep 25: The proscribed RPF celebrated the 42nd raising day of its armed wing PLA at the latter’s general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion, other military units, departments, stations and the party’s Central Bureau, SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4 .
Unfurling of the party’s flag and offering of tributes  to the ‘heroes’ who had laid down their lives for the cause of freedom were the main features of the raising day which was celebrated in a very humble manner in solidarity with the suffering of the masses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement issued by the outfit’s publicity secretary Roben Khuman.
The PLA’s raising day was also celebrated in all areas covered by party’s Central Bureau’s divisions 2,4,6,8 and 10 in association with local people by putting up red stars and festoons.
Another key feature of the raising day celebration was reading out of the RPF president Irengbam Chaoren’s message to the people, it said.
The outfit further wished that the PLA’s 42nd foundation day may bring unity among all the people of Manipur who have been living together since ages and enable every section of the society to work actively for the cause of the Nation.
