IMPHAL, Aug 9: The Choktong Village Authority, Tengnoupal district has clarified that it did not have any idea about the "One day awareness programme and plantation of coconut, cane and bamboos, litchee and other trees at Nongkam Satang, Choktong and its surrounding villages, Tengnoupal district, Manipur" on August 4 which was jointly organised by Central Agriculture University (CAU) Imphal, Apunba Imagi Machasing (AIMS) manipur, Nongkam Satang, Choktong and Machi village authorities.
Choktong Village Authority has further clarified that the programme was made by Tantanga Kohai Leidong, Chairman of Satang Village and that Choktong Village Authority had declined the invitation and refused to participate in the said programme.
