IMPHAL, Aug 6: Altogether 17 writ petitions including 15 filed against the Assembly Speaker and one each filed against ex-MLA Subhaschandra and ex-MLA Samuel Jendai have been listed for hearing tomorrow by a division bench of High Court of Manipur.
The division bench comprising Justice Lanusungkum Jamir and Justice A Bimol will hear the petitions.
It may be noted that the MPCC (Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee) had filed two separate petitions against S Subhaschandra (and two others) and Samuel Jendai (and two others).
The Court is also hearing a new writ petition S Subhaschandra filed against Manipur Legislative Assembly (and two others) tomorrow. It may be noted that S Subhaschandra had recently withdrawn a similar writ petition he filed.
The 17 different writ petitions listed for hearing tomorrow also include petitions filed by Congress MLAs and some private petitioners.
The Court is also hearing petitions filed by disqualified MLAs  against the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly (and two others). Petition against the Speaker filed by Yengkhom Surchandra, who was recently disqualified is also listed for hearing tomorrow along with a writ petition filed by private petitioner Moirangthem Chandrasekhar against Yengkhom Surchandra and 3 others.
The writ petitions of two other disqualified Congress MLAs, Sanasam Bira and Ksh Biren against the Speaker (and 2 others) are also listed for hearing tomorrow.
Writ petitions filed by Congress MLAs, Kangujam Ranjit, K Meghachandra and Okram Surjakumar against the Speaker Tribunal and two others are also listed for hearing by the same Court tomorrow.
