Anticipatory bail

IMPHAL, Aug 6: Erendro Leichombam, convener of Peoples’ Resurgence and Justice Alliance (PRJA) filed an anticipatory bail application before the High Court of Manipur in connection with a case registered against him at the Porompat Police Station for posting alleged derogatory remark against MP Leishemba Sanajoaba on Facebook.
Chief Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar will hear the matter tomorrow.
It may be mentioned that on July 28, during a press conference, SP Imphal East, Jogeshchandra Haobijam had stated that a regular case has been registered against Erendro Leichombam for making alleged derogatory remark against MP Leishemba Sanajaoba on Facebook. General secretary of Kangla Uttra Shanglen had filed a complaint against Erendro regarding the Facebook post.
