IMPHAL, Aug 5: The Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs Manipur (FATYCM) has demanded the Government to hand over the drug seizure case of former ADC Chandel Chairman Lhukhosei Zou to CBI. FATYCM in a statement said as the State shares a porous border with Myanmar, a series of drug trafficking cases are heard every now and then. Numerous cases have also been reported about poppy plantations in the remote hill areas.
“We urge the Central Government for immediate intervention to save the younger generation as many youths have already fallen prey to drug abuse,” it said.
FATYCM appealed to the youth to rise up to fight collectively against drug menace in our society.
“We strongly condemn the State Government for dilly-dallying the case of former ADC Chairman Lukhosei Zou. The case should be handed over to the CBI,” it added.
