JNIMS updates
IMPHAL, Aug 3: Giving a status update of JNIMS, Medical Superintendent of JNIMS hospital said all the health care workers including doctors and nurses and other support staff are provided with adequate PPE, N-95 masks, face shield, gloves and hand sanitizers etc. Regular sanitization of the hospital is also done.
Because of such efforts of the authority, there has not been a single case of COVID-19 infection among the health care workers of JNIMS hospital, the release said.
So far a total of 42,672 samples have been tested at VRDL, JNIMS out of which 1082 cases have been detected positive. Four hundred sixty four positive cases have been admitted in COVID ward, JNIMS and 382 patients have been discharged after recovery as on July 31.
Now, 81 patients are under treatment in JNIMS COVID ward. Two COVID-19 infected patients expired in JNIMS hospital so far, it added in a statement issued on August 2.
