Thoubal District Hospital reopened

Thoubal, Aug 10: District Hospital Thoubal which was closed since July 26, following the detection of COVID positive cases from its staff, reopened from today.
Speaking to media persons, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Ch Memcha said that the hospital was closed for about 15 days as about 10 of its staff including a doctor were found to be COVID positive.
The hospital is being opened after due consultation with the higher authority of the Health Department and Thoubal's Deputy Commissioner for the convenience of the public, she said adding that only emergency services will be given for the time being due to staff shortage.
The MS also appealed to the public to compulsorily wear face masks and follow SOPS for COVID-19 when visiting the hospital for emergency cases.
