Integrity Protection Day

IMPHAL, Jul 25: The ACOAM Lup Kangleipak has said that the ‘Integrity Protection Day’ observed every year on July 27 will be cancelled this year. 
According to a statement of ACOAM Lup, a phrase ‘without territorial limit’ was mentioned in the Bangkok Agreement signed between the NSCN (IM) and Government of India on June 14, 2001, that had the potential to alter the boundary of Manipur.
The phrase was removed on July 27 after strong protest by the people. ACOAM Lup has been observing the day when the phrase was removed from the agreement as “Integrity Protection Day” every year, it said.
