Books released

IMPHAL, Jul 19: A novel entitled 'Aronba Thamoigi Chithi' penned by Muhammad Salim was released today at the hall of Aal Ameen Centre, Hatta Minuthong.
The book release function organised by the Writers' Union Manipur was attended by Sahitya Akademi Awardee, novelist BM Meisnamba, retired SCS Akush Salam and DM College of Arts' Assistant Professor Dr Saed Ahmed  as dignitaries while HOD of DM College of Arts's Department of Philosophy, Dr Kh Gokulchandra Singh gave an insight of the novel.
On the other hand, a book of one act play written by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Beryl Thanga alias Laishram Birmangol was released today in a simple function. A statement of Loktak Khorjei Lup, Thanga said that the release function of the book "Ei Meet Taangbi Naa Pangbi Oijakhige" was attended by Nongmaithem Kirankumar, convenor, Mani-puri Language Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi; Oinam Tomba, president, Loktak Khorjei Lup and its vice president Laishram Birababu, vice president; Sovachandra Akoijamba, Nat Sankirtan Master as presidium members and Devdas Mairembam as critic and book reviewer.
