7th Pay demand

IMPHAL, Jul 13: The Manipur Secretariat Services Association held a sit-in protest demanding full implementation of 7th Pay Commission at New Secretariat complex today.
Speaking at the sit-in protest, the association's secretary, Purujit Leirikyengbam said the association has been on cease work strike since July 6 demanding implementation of the 7th Pay.
The Government, on June 8, 2018 had reached an agreement with the association regarding their demands. However, the agreement has not been implemented till today, he said.
Implementation of the 7th Pay scale only for some sections is unacceptable, he said appealing the Government to implement the earlier agreement.
Keeping the agreement in abeyance for the last two years cannot be accepted, at all he added.
