Nambul campaign

IMPHAL, Jun 30: Prior to the July 2 'Save Nambul River' campaign, dredging works have started at the river under the aegis of Manipur Pollution Control Board Chairman, L Radhakishore.
A section of the river from Loktak lake to Samurou area was cleaned today. Samurou to Nambonbi bridge section of the river will be cleaned tomorrow.
It may be noted that the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union is organising the campaign under the aegis of Directorate of Environment and Climate Change. The cleaning work is being taken up to facilitate movement of canoes (small boats) in the river for the campaign.
