IMPHAL, Jun 17: The rescheduled CBSE Class XII examinations will be conducted in as many as 49 examinations centres in Manipur from July 1 to July 15. A total of 3,116 candidates are appearing for the examinations.
It may be noted that Class X (North East Delhi) and XII examinations which were scheduled to be completed in March were postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. While the exams for subjects of Class XII will be held across the country, the exams for Class X will be held only in North East Delhi.
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India, has allowed students to take examinations at their home States.
To prevent crowding of people outside the exam centres and allow smooth movement of teachers and all involved for ensuring smooth conduct of the examinations, the DGP (Director General of Police) Manipur has been requested to arrange and enforce necessary measures, said a statement of the Commissioner (Education-S), Government of Manipur.
All Deputy Commissioners have also been requested to make necessary arrangements for providing drinking water, electricity supply, health support (in case required) at all the examination centres. ZEOs concerned will tie up the respective DCs in this regard, said a statement of the Department. Further, the Director (Education-S) is to co-ordinate with all officials concerned for smooth conduct of the examinations in a safe environment for the students, said the statement.
Most importantly, all candidates will have to carry their own hand sanitiser in transparent bottles. Candidates should cover their nose, mouth and nose with mask/cloth and follow physical distancing norms. Parents should guide their ward(s) about precautions to be taken by them to avoid spread of COVID-19, said safety instructions given by the CBSE.
