22 nurses reach State
IMPHAL, May 8: 22 nurses from Manipur who have been working in five private hospitals at Kolkata reached the State today.
They came back from Kolkata after arranging a vehicle on their own.
Out of the 22 nurses, 16 have been lodged in the quarantine centre opened at the State TB Hospital while the other six have been confined at the Mao quarantine centre as they were not in possession of necessary passes, informed a source.
The source said that 72 samples were tested for COVID-19 at JNIMS today and all the samples turned out to be negative.
On the other hand, people who are coming to the State through Mao and Jiribam are being screened as usual.
Altogether 539 truck drivers and handymen, and 400 other people were screened at Mao and Jiribam today, added the source.
