IMPHAL, Apr 8: In an effort to aid the current situation faced by the people of the State due to outbreak of coronavirus, a total of Rs 6,48,914.86/- was contributed by 493 SSA teachers and donated towards Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund Account, informed a press release issued by All Manipur SSA Teacher’s Association (AMSSATA).
This is the first phase of contribution and AMSSATA will contribute further to help the cause, it added.
The Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation also donated 1 day pay of all employees working under the department, amounting to a total of Rs 6,01,802/- towards Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, to support the State Government, stated a press release issued by office of State Horticulture and Soil Conservation.
In connection with containing COVID-19 in the State, the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has also donated an amount of Rs 45,00,000/- to the State Health Society, Manipur for procurement of full body PPEs, said a press release issued by POWERGRID Imphal.
In a brief ceremony, NHM State Mission Director Ningthoujam Geoffrey expressed gratitude while handing over the acknowledgement receipt to Moirangthem Shashikumar Singh, Senior General Manager of POWERGRID Imphal.
