IMPHAL, Apr 6: All India Forward Bloc Manipur State Committee has stressed on the importance of the people to properly adhere to the lock down by the Government in face of the COVID-19 pandemic. A statement issued by the party conveyed that it will offer every possible support to the initiatives taken by the authorities to combat the virus and further lauded the doctors, staff and other healthcare workers who are working hard against the pandemic.
On the other hand, concerned by the difficulties faced by the common people due to the lockdown, it strongly condemned the price hike of essential commodities by shopkeepers during this crisis.
Appealing the Government to ensure that the PDS rice and food grains are provided properly to the people who are suffering due to the lock down, the party urged the authorities to ensure that such benefits reach the intended people so that the lock down can be observed more effectively.
