COVID-19 suspect

Ukhrul, Apr 21 : A truck driver who was admitted at Ukhrul district hospital and kept in an isolation ward yesterday due to fears that he might be COVID-19 positive is now stable.
According to a reliable source, the truck driver (26) was transporting essential commodities from Assam, Nagaland and Manipur in the past month.
Dr Reisangmi Medical Superintendent of Ukhrul district hospital informed that the patient's condition has improved a lot after he was given treatment and is in stable condition.
There are certain norms and protocol to follow in treating Covid-19 patients and if the truck driver shows any symptoms of the virus, he would referred for  COVID-19 test at Imphal, he added.
He will  be kept for more days in the hospital for further observation.
