Nothing bigger than saving people's lives: singer Mandakini

BISHNUPUR, Mar 21: A renowned singer of Manipur, Mandakini Takhellambam has said that there is nothing bigger than an attempt to save the life of another person in one's life.
The singer was recently bestowed with the title of Noble Woman of Manipur 2020 by Lions Club International District 322-D during the inaugural function of multi health check-up facility centre cum club service centre at Moirang Chingei Leikai. 
Addressing media persons during a press meet held at her residence at Ningthoukhong Kha Ward No 6, the singer said that she has been connecting with the people of Manipur through her songs for the past 25 years.
Saying that she has been donating blood in every opportunity she got since World Disable Day 2019, the singer lamented that receiving the prestigious award from the Lion Club has encouraged her to continue the humanitarian service.
It may be mentioned that Mandakini is also a recipient of Best of AMMIK 2003 title.
