Customary Court alleges

 Pongringlong (Charoipandongba) Village Customary Court has condemned JCO Gonbilung Gonmei for allegedly letting security personnel of 4th IRB 'harassed and tortured' three villagers of Charoipandongba using their service weapon under his command on March 12 last.
In this regard, a press release from the customary court said that the very act of the security personnel caused permanent disability to two of the villagers.
Claiming that the three villagers namely Adin Gangmei, Chamdanthai Kamsuan and Pougangrei Panmei came across JCO Gonbilung Gonmei and his 4th IRB security personnel eating and drinking alcohol with Dingamlung Malangmei, s/o Gaineichung Malangmei, in the kitchen of the latter house on March 14, it alleged that Dingamlung Malangmei shouted at the security personnel to shoot anyone in their vicinity and upon hearing the shout, the security forces caught the villagers and pinned them on the ground and shot at them.
Two of the villagers suffered permanent disability in their eardrums as per a medical report, it said and demanded the JCO of 4th IRB, his security personnel and Dingamlung Malangmei to take responsibility for the untoward incident and bear all the medical expenses of the injured villagers.
