Swine Flu

IMPHAL, Mar 17: A sample sent to JNIMS for COVID-19 test has been found positive for Swine Flu.
One high-ranking official of the Health Department informed that sample was collected from a man who landed at Imphal from Guwahati last evening and the same was sent to JNIMS for COVID-19 test.
The man is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital at Imphal and his sample has been found to be positive for Swine Flu.
So far, of all the samples sent for COVID-19 test, three have been found positive for Swine Flu, informed the official.
Till date, 15 samples collected have been sent for COVID-19 test and all of them have been found negative.
Meanwhile, all the inmates of Central Jail Sajiwa, Central Jail Imphal and Observation Home, Takyel have been screened for symptoms similar to those of COVID-19, added the official.
