13th Manipur State League L Gouro hits treble as NISA brush aside 9-man AIM 6-1

IMPHAL, Feb 17 : L Gouro continued his fine form to score thrice in NISA's 6-1 drubbing of AIM, Khabam today at Artificial Turf Ground in the 18th match of the 13th Manipur State League organised by All Manipur Football Association.
AIM which are yet to register a point, started the game brightly with Peter Seiminthang finding the breakthrough in the 10th minute but the team lost its tempo latter on and never recovered as they were reduced to 10-man after Ch Kenson Meitei was sent off in the 22nd minute with double caution for his foul and using harsh language following the booking.
NISA which drew level through L Gouro in the 14th minute then rode on its strong forwards to run riot and pumped in 5 goals in the second half for their second win at the tournament as first half scoreline remained at 1-1 despite chances the two teams had.
After the break, NISA entered the field with more purpose started stretching defence line of AIM soon before L Sanatomba Singh made a good use of a chance to overturn the lead  in the 48th minute. There was looking back for NISA since then as S Meiraba Meitei found the team's third in the 51st minute and L Sanatomba grabbed his second in the 53rd minute.
Stung by the sudden surge, AIM had to slip to a more defensive formation but their fort crumbled after a while as they were further reduced to 9 man losing one more due to injury after making all substitutions and L Gouro rose again to slot home his second goal in the 75th minute and capped a fine chance two minutes from time to round off the match's scoring.
It was also the 6th goal for L Gouro in this edition of the tournament participated by 15 teams.
NISA now have 7 points in three matches having shared a point with UKB in the previous match.
AFC, Thoubal will play Muvanlai Athletics, Sadar Hills tomorrow in the 20th match at 12.15 pm while NACO, Nambul Mapal will face GSC, Churachandpur in the 21st match latter at 2.15 pm.
