Foundation stone laid

IMPHAL, Dec 31: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba laid the foundation stone for Nawa Sindam Shang at Jiribam during the 14th death anniversary observance of Chingsubam Akaba today.
Leishemba Sanajaoba hoisted the Salai Taret flag and also released “Seireng 25” written by late Akaba.
He also pledged to provide 50 percent of the cost of constructing the Nawa Sindam Shang, founded by Akaba.
At the event, he stated that the Nawa Sindam Shang will teach children and students about the cultural values, inculcate patriotism and love for one's script and language.
He donated Rs 30,000 as initial assistance for construction of the Awa Sindam Shang.
