DWDA distributes wheelchairs

IMPHAL, Dec 30: Disabled Welfare Development Association (DWDA), Takyel Khongban Mayai Leikai organised 5th Disabled Welfare and Development Programme today at Manipur Press Club.
The programme was attended by MLA Karam Shyam; Laishram Sachirani Devi, president DWDA; Nongmaithem Noren Singh, Chief Engineer (building) PWD and Khaidem Priyobala Devi, Pradhan Takyel Gram Panchayat as presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, Karam Shyam said helping the poor and differently abled persons is a noble deed and added that all need to assure the differently abled persons that the people are there to support them.
He also said that differently abled persons are the most loved members of any family and they should live with dignity and with courage.
Wheelchairs were also distributed to differently abled persons as a part of the programme.
