All Manipur Kabui Students Union clarifies

IMPHAL, Dec 28 
The All Manipur Kabui Students Union, in a statement issued today, asserted that there is no programme scheduled for the Kabui community in the function's itinerary released by the Nodal officer, TA & H, John Gaidingam on the eve of the welcome ceremony organised for the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah on December 27.
The dance performed during the function in the name of Rongmei dance, is actually the Kabui traditional dance and not the Rongmei dance, it added.
The student body condemned the alleged irresponsible act of the TA&H officers, which undermined the sentiments and the traditions of the Kabui community.
The All Manipur Kabui Students Union further appealed to Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the authorities concerned to look into the matter and added that any attempt to undermine the Kabui community should stop.
