Heroin seized

IMPHAL, Dec 28:  A team of Heingang police under the supervision of Jogeshchandra Haobijam, SP Imphal East, arrested one individual along with 101 gram of powder suspected to be heroin from Khomidok Mayai Leikai near Arapti Primary School, today at around 4.30 pm.
The person has been identified as Md Janab Khan (27), s/o Md Maniruddin of Khomidok Mayai Leikai.
According to police, the suspected heroin was handed to Janab Khan by one Md Samir Khan (38), s/o Md Islambi of Kairang Umang Leikai for selling at Lamlong.
Janab Khan had disclosed that Md Samir brought 5 soap cases of heroin from Lilong Dam a few days back, said police and added that a case has been registered for investigation.
