Asst Prof suspended

IMPHAL, Nov 2: One Assistant Professor of Lilong Haoreibi College has been suspended with immediate effect for violating election model code of conduct.
Higher and Technical Education Commissioner M Harekrishna issued an order to this effect today.
According to the order, Assistant Professor Dr Md Sidiqur Rahman attended a meeting held at the residence of Y Antas Khan, a candidate of the by-election to Lilong AC on October  21 and delivered a speech making certain allegations related to public activities of Md Abdul Nasir, another candidate in the same Constituency which was in violation of the model code of conduct.
