Kut greetings

IMPHAL, Oct 31 : Governor Najma Haptullah today sent greetings to the people of Manipur on the eve of Kut festival. Greeting the people, the Governor highlighted the cultural significance of Kut and its tourist attractiveness and praye that the festival brings peace, love, friendship and communal harmony in the State.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh too conveyed his greetings to the people, particularly to the Kuki-Chin-Mizo communities on the eve of Kut festival. Biren hoped that the festival would strengthen peace and solidarity of different ethnic communities in the State.
Works Minister, Th Bishwajit also extended warm wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion and added that the festival symbolises peace, harmony and unity. He also hoped that Kut strengthens the social fabric and brings prosperity to all communities.
Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister Vungzagin Valte has also extended his greetings to the people and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
Joining the wishes, YAS and Water Resources Minister Letpao Haokip too sent his greetings to the people, particularly the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community on the occasion of Kut and prayed that the festival ushers in an era of mutual love and understanding.
