Nupi Marup, CPI mourn

IMPHAL, Oct 7
The All Manipur Nupi Marup (AMNM) and Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council have mourned the demise of its Vice president Thiyam Ibeton Devi on October 6.
In its condolence message, the AMNM said that Ibeton (62)  Ibeton launched many campaigns to educate illiterate women and also to protect them from violence and harassment.
It also said that a two-minute silence was observed as a token of respect to the departed soul during a condolence meeting convened today.
Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council  also mourned her demise and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
