Workshop cum production on 'Moirang Sai' held

THOUBAL, Oct 4: The Nongpok Ingouba Cultural Academy (NICA), Yairipok Top Chingtha Oinamthong Leirak, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a workshop cum production programme on "Moirang Sai" at the Yairipok Top Lai Community Hall, today.
NICA president M Rajmani Meitei and other dignitaries graced the programme as presidium members.
Speaking at the function, NICA secy M Menaobi said the workshop was organised with the objective to safeguard and promote the age old traditional art of 'Moirang Sai'. M Menaobi also sought the support of the public in achieving this objective.
As part of the programme, mementoes were also presented by NICA to the senior teachers of the art, while experts of the performing art delivered speeches on it.
A performance of Moirang Sai was also exhibited by srudents of NICA.
