MBC celebrates Elders' Day

IMPHAL, Oct 25 : The Centre Church of Manipur Baptist Convention, celebrated Elders’ Sunday, a very significant event in the annual calendar of the Church under the banner of “Care Ministry.”
A special worship service was dedicated in honour of senior citizens of 70 years and above and those retired from service.
Every year, this Sunday is set aside to pay befitting tribute to elders for their exemplary life, selfless sacrifice, tireless labour of love and single minded devotion in building and nurturing homes in particular and society in general.
The elders could not grace the event because of the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
Maintaining strict Covid-19 SOP, the Church visited the elders in their respective houses to greet and bestow blessings of good health, joy, prosperity and long life.
Yongchak saplings along with gifts were presented to mark the occasion.
The Church extended gratitude to to the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Manipur for providing 500 Yongchak saplings.
Care Ministry was launched by Rev L Simon Raomai, former Pastor, MBC Centre Church Imphal on March 5, 2016 at William Pettigrew Park, MBC, a year after the Church celebrated its Diamond Jubilee.
