'Pay compensation'

Moreh, Oct 18: Chairman of Asian Highway -1 Affected Committee, Tengnoupal, Thanglam Touthang has cautioned that the committee is set to launch an agitation if the compensation issue pertaining to widening project of Imphal Moreh Road is not settled at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons, he appealed to the authority concerned to avoid dismantling structures at Moreh By-Pass Road, Lokchao, Lamkang and Tengnoupal located along Imphal-Moreh Road without the consent of the land owners.
Appealing to all concerned to pay the land compensation amount to the affected owners at the earliest, he cautioned that the Asian Highway -1 Affected Committee, Tengnoupal will launch an agitation if the demand is not entertained.
